2018 Veterans Day Events in Greater Morgantown

Honoring Those Who Served Our Country

Honor the veteran in your life along with other veterans who have served our country this Veteran’s Day, on Sunday, November 11. Here in Greater Morgantown, we are grateful for those who fought for our freedom and want to show appreciation. Take a look at the following events that Greater Morgantown has to offer and help us celebrate!

Join Triple S Harley-Davidson on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 12:00pm (noon) to 4:00pm for the V.I.B. All-American Tailgate Event and Military Appreciation Day. There will be free food, drinks, and plenty of great prizes! All event proceeds benefits Bikers, Bros, and Bo Inc. – an organization helping local military organizations and families.

Celebrate Veterans Day weekend with a family outing to the WVU football game against TCU on Saturday, November 10, where there will be a special salute to veterans. Kickoff is at noon!

Spend Veterans Day at the WVU Women’s basketball game against NJIT, which starts at 2:00pm at the WVU Coliseum!

Take the family to Rowlesburg, to the Szilagyi Center (old high school), where you can explore the Greatest GenerationWorld War II Museum.

The annual Veteran’s Day parade hosted by Morgantown City Hall will take place in downtown Morgantown on Monday, Nov. 12 starting at 6:30pm. The parade will begin at the top of High Street and continue throughout Wiley Street to Foundry Street.

Crab Shack Carriba is having a Veterans Day Fish Fry on Monday, Nov. 12  starting at 11:00am in Suncrest Towne Center. All Veterans and Active Duty military with military ID or uniform dining in will be served a Free fish fry dinner.

Grab a bite to eat at the veteran owned and operated restaurant and bar, Mountain Mama’s! They have a large menu of food and drinks, and a variety of homemade wing sauces. Make sure to ask about their daily veteran discounts!

Swing by Eat’n Park on Patteson Drive the entire month of November for 10% off for all veterans and their families.

Make sure to stop by our participating Mountaineer Deal restaurants, such as Crab Shack Carriba, Shoney’s, Ali Baba, and MORE! while dining around town!

Greater Morgantown also has many restaurants and stores offering discounts and free meals for veterans on Veterans’ Day. Make sure to have your military identification in order to take part in the deals.
