A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, Turkey Trot, and More!

This Thanksgiving season, the Greater Morgantown area is offering many events for people of all ages to celebrate the holiday. The Thanksgiving 2016 events will take place this week and will conclude on Thursday, November 24.

A List of All 2016 Thanksgiving Events

The Morgantown Public Library hosts reading sessions every Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Come out to hear “Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks” at Star City Town Hall or watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” at the Morgantown Public Library on Tuesday, November 22.

The Clinton District Public Library hosts story time every Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. To celebrate Thanksgiving, “T is for Turkey” will be read on Wednesday, November 23.

Begin your Thanksgiving morning with the Morgantown Running Turkey Trot at the WVU Track. Races start at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 24. Each participant will receive a pair of socks for taking part in the event.

Thanksgiving Day is full of delicious meals to enjoy. Visit restaurants such as Sargasso, The Clubhouse Grill, Atria’s, or hotels like the Preston County Inn, Waterfront Place Hotel, or the Ramada Inn. Many of these locations require reservations, so make sure to make accommodations in advance.

End Thanksgiving Day by seeing Billy Matheny perform at 123 Pleasant Street in Downtown Morgantown for his Thanksgiving Show. Doors open at 8 p.m.
