Saturday, October 20th

Halloween Bash 2018

Come out to Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground for their Halloween Bash! Events feature a “Haunted” Hiking Trail, “Haunted” Hay Ride, Zombie Hunt, Franken-Golf, and a Bewitched Bonfire. Activities are for all ages, but are geared toward small children. There will be plenty of prizes and hot cocoa for purchase! Dress in your favorite costume and have fun!

Halloween Witches and Warlocks Tea Party 

Take your little princess or prettiest “witch” to the Halloween Tea Party at the Tea Shoppe at Seneca Center on Sunday, October 21, from 11 to 1:00 p.m. There will be a special guest appearance by Maleficent herself! She will lead guests in activities, crafts, and games. Don’t miss the fun–register today! (Plus, there’s a Mountaineer Deal for The Tea Shoppe!)

Friday, October 26th 

Witches & Warlocks Adult Tea-vent

Gather your “Ghoulfriends” or favorite Warlock and ride your broomsticks to The Tea Shoppe for a Halloween tea service! The event comes with (1) complimentary “Menacing” mimosa or “Cauldron” sangria (for 21+ individuals). A non-alcoholic Witches Brew will also be available as well as tea, coffee, and soft drinks. There will be a Bed Dressed and Cackling contests, too! The event is $25 per person and reservations are required. Come have a “Witching” good time!

Friday, October 26th

Granville Community Halloween Party 

Instead of Trick or Treating on Halloween night, celebrate early with Granville at their Community Festival! Head to Granville Park on Friday from 5:30-8:00 p.m. for games and plenty of candy. Make sure to come dressed in your best costume!

Saturday, October 27th

Boo ‘N Brew

The Morgantown Mall is hosting Boo & Brew from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. There’s trick or treating for the kiddos and brew for the adults! Brew will be provided at the Mario’s Fishbowl tasting tent (for purchase). Fletcher’s Grove will be performing outside and there will also be a pet costume contest presented by WVAQ. The kids will also have fun on the hayrides and picking out their very own pumpkin. Trick or treating inside the mall is from 4:00- to 6:00p.m.

Halloween with the Horses

The WVU Collegiate Horsemen’s Association will open the JW Ruby Research Farm up for a family-friendly trick-or-treating event on Saturday, October 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Bring your family to meet the WVU teaching horses. Children are encouraged to dress in costume, play games, meet Mr. Twister, and more! This event is free and open to the public.

Boo Bash

While you’re already at the Mall, head inside from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for the Boo Bash where there will be trick or treating at each participating storefront! Show up in your prettiest (or spookiest) costume!

Kids Halloween Party 

Preston County Sprout and the Preston Community Arts Center are hosting a kids Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Arts Center. Grab the kiddos and dress them in their favorite costume for an entertaining and safe night of Halloween fun. More details to come!

Halloween Spooktacular

Join Arthurdale Heritage for a scary good time! WV storytelling Guild members June Riffle, Jason Burns, Otto and Katie Ross, Stas’ Ziolkowski and Jo Ann Dadisman will have you gripping your seat as they tell tales of ghosts and goblins. There will be plenty of food: Roger’s famous sloppy joes, homemade potato soup, homemade chili, hot dogs, hamburgers and delicious homemade desserts! Not recommended for small children. Tickets are $7-$10 and are encouraged to be purchased prior to the event.

Morgantown Zombie Walk

Want more Zombie fun? Head down to Morgantown’s High Street from 6-8:30 p.m. for an evening walk with the zombies. Haggard Wulf will be providing the pre-walk entertainment again this year, along with costumes contests, giveaways, and of course, the food drive. The staging area for the walk is at the Morgantown Farmers Market Pavilion and pre-walk events start at 6 p.m.

Costume Dance Party at Alpine Lake Resort

Head to Alpine Lake Resort for the Halloween Costume Dance Party on Saturday evening, from 8:00pm to 12:00am. There will be music by Phantom Entertainment and costume prizes for Best Dresses, Scariest, Best Couple, and funniest/most original. Make sure to dress up in your best and show up for a full night of fun! Tickets are $5 per person and there will be hotel rates for $65 for both the 26th and 27th.

Halloween Sock Hop

Come out to the WVU Swing Dance Club’s annual Halloween Dance “Sock Hop” style! The dance will start at 7:30 p.m. at Elks Lodge Morgantown. Costumes are highly encouraged and there will be both a costume and dance contest. There will be live music from the 50’s and 60’s, performed by Morgantown’s premier oldies band: Back in the Day. There will also be raffle prizes! It’s $10 per person and food donations for Pantry Plus are encouraged and welcomed.

Sunday, October 28th

Phantom Plaza by Defense in Depth 

Join Defense in Depth on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for a trunk or treat! They partnered with the other businesses in the Sabraton Plaza to bring you a one-of-a-kind trunk or treat filled with a scavenger hunt, face painting, games, costume contest, and more. Every group/family in attendance will receive various discounts to each participating business and tons of chances to win prizes. Come out and dress up in your favorite costume!

Suncrest Towne Centre

Bring your kiddos over to Suncrest Towne Centre for Trick or Treating on Monday, October 29 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Participating stores will have a pumpkin in their window, so make sure to be on the lookout (and of course, dress in your favorite costume).

Main Street Morgantown Trick or Treat

Businesses in Downtown Morgantown will be holding their annual Trick or Treat event on Monday, October 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Historic downtown. Dress up in your favorite costume and come down for some treats and visit your local business owners. (Plus, you can use Mountaineer Deals to shop/dine after the event!)

If you’re in Kingwood, head to Main Street on Monday night! Businesses will be offering treats from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday October 29th. Dress up with your friends or bring the whole family out for a night on the town for trick or treating!
