$15 to $20

It’s a yearly tradition that has crowds cheering and fans of all ages smiling – the WVU Men’s Basketball Alumni Game returns to Fairmont State Arena Saturday, July 6! Tickets are on sale now at jflowent.com from $15, with general admission, sideline and baseline seating options available.

The annual charity game brings back Mountaineer favorites from across the program’s storied history back to play against each other – all in the name of giving back to the community. Over four years, the game has raised $25,000 for various charities and causes.

“We’re hyped to be back,” said John Flowers, player and organizer of the event. “We want our fifth year to be the biggest, raising the most we ever have for our chosen charity. And, we want our fans to have the most fun.”

This year’s chosen charity is Special Olympics West Virginia. The group advocates “people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction and encouragement, enjoy, learn and benefit from participation in individual and team sports.”

“We know the power of sports, and the impact it can have,” Flowers said.

The game will once again be held at Fairmont State University’s Joe Retton Arena.

“Fairmont has been really great to us,” Flowers said. “We’ve had a lot of love from the fans, and surveys showed they really love the atmosphere there. I can’t wait to play there again with my brothers.”

This year’s event will also feature some new elements. Fans will also be able to give back to charity through purchasing exclusive experiences, which are yet to be announced. Merchandise will also be available at the event, and available for pre-order online.

Another addition to the Alumni Game Weekend will be a live recording of “The Final Fourcast” podcast, starring Flowers, Kevin Jones and Da’Sean Butler, as well as their co-host Ashley. A venue will be announced soon.

“We really want to make the biggest impact we can, and make a lot of noise for such a good cause,” Flowers said. “The fact we can keep raising money, after five years, speaks a lot about the heart of the West Virginia fans. We will keep coming back as long as they want us to. And if we can do some good doing it, that’s even better.”

Tickets are available online now for the game at https://jflowent.com. Experiences, as well as The Final Fourcast live recording, will be available soon.
