An all-day event held in the early Fall for the entire community, now in conjunction with Main Street Morgantown and Morgantown Sister Cities Commission.

Bring the family to downtown Morgantown to get a taste of the many different cultures in the community. There will be food, entertainment, games for the children and fun for all.

This Festival, in its second year, is sponsored by West Virginia University’s Offices of Global Affairs, Multicultural Programs and Graduate Education and Life, and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in collaboration with the City of Morgantown’s Sister Cities Commission, Main Street Morgantown and the WV Council of International Programs. It is an example of town-gown cooperation and celebrated the diversity and culture of Morgantown with food, music and dance.

This year the High Street and Courthouse Square area will be decked out with the flags of more than a hundred nations represented at WVU and in Morgantown’s population and will be lined with exhibitors from Africa, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, India, Kuwait, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Spain and more. Visitors will be able to sample foods from Africa, South and Central America, Europe, India, Turkey, the Middle East and Asia and will be treated to music, dance and fashion shows throughout the day. WVU’s Samba Ensemble will open the entertainment and the popular salsa band, SabroSon, will close out the festivities once again.

Exhibits along the High Street from Fayette Street to Pleasant Street and the area between Walnut Street and Fayette Street will be closed off to traffic.
