Arts Mon Hosts May Arts Walk Show

On May 17, from 6 to 9 p.m., Arts Mon will present the work of several members of the
Morgantown Arts Association, including selections by Susan and Byron Witt, Beth Keener-Flanery and students of Susan. The reception is free and open to the public.

The Witts are well-known in the Morgantown arts community, long-time members of the Morgantown Art Association and frequent exhibitors in local galleries. Susan studied with Peggy Issack, among other MAA artists and has, in turn, become a teacher herself. She now has forty-five students on a weekly basis, some coming from as far as Cumberland, Maryland, as well as surrounding West Virginia counties.

Byron Witt will have a small selection of his photographs, many of which reflect the numerous trips the couple make. These form a complement to Susan’s paintings. The exhibition focuses on watercolor examples, the medium currently being taught by Susan.

The exhibition continues through May 31.

Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The gallery is located at 201 High Street.
