The Greater Morgantown area is an amazing place for motorcycling enthusiasts to gear down and unwind. The area offers a wide variety of exciting terrain and wonderful roads for any skill level. A) PHILIPPI COVERED BRIDGE

The oldest and longest covered bridge in West Virginia. It is also the only covered bridge serving the US Federal Highway system (U.S. Route 250). Located at the intersection of Main St. and Pike St. | Opened: 1852 | Engineer: Lemuel Chenoweth | Longest span: 138′ (42 m)

B) CARROLLTON COVERED BRIDGE

This covered bridge was built in 1856 and spans the Buckhannon River near Carrollton. Located at the intersection os Carrollton Rd. and Century Junction Rd.  

C) SIMPSON CREEK COVERED BRIDGE

A multiple-Kingpost truss bridge that was built in 1881. It was washed out by a flood in July 1889 and later relocated to its current location a half-mile upstream. Located at the intersection of Club View Dr. and Meadowbrook Dr.  

D) BARRACKVILLE COVERED BRIDGE

Built in 1853, the structure is a modified arched Burr truss, with siding added twenty years after the bridge’s construction and spans Buffalo Creek near Barrackville, West Virginia. Located at the intersection of Pike St. and Buffalo Rd.
