Mason-Dixon Historical Park Trails

The Mason-Dixon Historical Park wraps around Browns Hill, offering ample hiking and mountain biking opportunities for visitors of any skill level. Save this official trail map for your next trip.

M-D Marker Trail: Start with a steep climb to picturesque views at the peak of Browns Hill. This 1.3-mile trail takes hikers directly to the Mason-Dixon Marker Stone and connects with four other trails throughout the park: the Blue Trail, the Green Trail,  the Lucky Dog Trail, and the Mountain Bike Trail.

Blue Trail: Take this short detour off the M-D Marker Trail for sunset views across the hillside. This 0.55-mile trail tapers off from the M-D Marker Trail near the top of Browns Hill and reconnects just after the Adirondak Shelters.

Green Trail: Enjoy a casual stroll on this 0.6-mile trail following Dunkard Creek. Hikers can use the Green Trail to access the M-D Market Trail, the Mountain Bike Trail, the Orange Trail and the Bluebell Trail.

Orange Trail: Reach the northernmost point in Mason Dixon Park via this 0.35-mile trail. Hikers who make the journey will be rewarded with a chance to see the Tucker Falls waterfall in action. Access this trail from the Green Trail or the Bluebell Trail.

Bluebell Trail: This kid-friendly trail is a whimsical delight thanks to fields of bluebell flowers and the magical presence of the Fairy Doors. This trail is 0.35-miles and can be accessed via the Green Trail and Orange Trail.

West Side Trail: For an easier route to the top of Browns Hill, try the West Side Trail. This 0.79-mile trail takes hikers along an alternate route with a slower climb and a series of switchbacks to make the trek more accessible. Hikers along this trail will eventually connect with the Blue Trail.

Mountain Bike Trail Head: Skilled mountain bikers are invited to take on this trail made specifically for them. This 0.7-mile trail connects two points of the M-D Marker Trail, bypassing the Mason-Dixon Marker Stone. While all trails are open to mountain bikes, bikers are asked to yield to walkers.
