West Virginia and West Virginia University Themed Tattoos

The Pride of Every Mountaineer...

Tattoos appear in all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s a place, person, object, quote or a one-of-a-kind piece, tattoos are a popular form of self-branding. Today, three in ten Americans have tattoos and when it comes to the Wild and Wonderful State, a flying WV or Mountaineer is easy to spot.

If you’re a tattoo artist or looking for tattoo inspiration, you’re in luck! The 5th Annual West Virginia Tattoo Expo will be here August 18-20 with three full days of events and vendors at the Morgantown Event Center. With on-site tattooing and piercing from more than 160 artists, multitudes of vendors, contests, a Miss Tattooed West Virginia pageant and more, this is known to be the premier tattoo event in the state.

To kick off the weekend, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite WV and WVU-themed tattoos to get you in the spirit.
