You’re “Running” Out of Time…
The 3rd annual WVU Medicine Morgantown Marathon is quickly approaching and with Greater Morgantown known for its rolling hills and gorgeous views, it’s drawing runners near and far to partake in its challenging course that tests both physical and mental strength.
Runners will travel through the seven wards of the City, experiencing quiet country roads, a run through the West Virginia University Campus, and a finish to a full marathon unlike any other. Yes, it’s hilly, but completing 26.2 “Heavenly Miles,” with almost 2,000 feet of elevation gain, is also very rewarding.
The WVU Medicine Morgantown Marathon begins at 7AM on Saturday, September 23 at the WVU Coliseum. If you want to get a jumpstart on the fun, you can kick off the event with the rest of the Greater Morgantown community on Thursday night, September 21, at Monongalia County Baseball Park from 6-8:15PM with family-friendly activities, such as the Family Fun Run (not timed), presentation of sponsors, as well as entertainment.
