| The Celebration of America Committee has planned another great schedule of events in celebration of Independence Day! Activities include an 11:00 am concert by the CB Wilson Community Band at the riverfront amphitheater, a parade at 6:00pm on High Street followed by an awards ceremony at the amphitheater, a performance by the Mon River Big Band, also at the amphitheater, and to complete the celebration a grand fireworks display at 10:00pm |

| SECOND ANNUAL DECKERS CREEK ADVENTURE DAY |
| The Deckers Creek Adventure Day will include an Adventure Race and FREE community festival. The three hour Adventure Race will take place from 1-4 PM with fun for the whole family. Teams of three will compete in foot travel, biking, canoeing, and team mystery challenges for the title of Adventure Day champions. During the race, Friends of Deckers Creek will host a community festival with fun, environmental education activities for the racer's families and friends. Following the race, there will be live music, food and beverages, and race awards for top finishers in several categories including male, female, co-ed, family and student groups.
