DECKERS CREEK TRAIL

 The Deckers Creek Trail begins at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park and parallels Deckers Creek and Scenic Byway Route 7 east to Reedsville.  The trail is over 19 miles long with an elevation change of 1000ft at a 2% grade and has a paved surface within the Morgantown City Limits.  For more information, please visit the Mon River Trails Conservancy Website.

Only remaining covered bridge in Monongalia County, dated 1889. Take US 19 S, turn right on Laurel Point/Sugar Grove Rd. and proceed .6 miles. Turn left at Kern’s Farm and proceed .1 mile to bridge.

DORSEY'S KNOB PARK

The observation deck on Sky Rock in Dorsey's Knob Park stands nearly 600 feet above the landscape, giving viewers a breathtaking and refreshing look at the Greater Morgantown Area.  The 70-acre park is also home to Dorsey's Knob Lodge.  The Lodge, a beautiful facility that hosts overnight guests and daytime gatherings, doubles as a gallery to display local and regional works of art.  The park itself is open to the public and provides wonderful green space to read, paint, or just relax.

 The 9-hole "Dunkard Valley" course at the Dunkard Valley Golf Course facility in Blacksville,West Virginia features 2,224 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 33 . The course rating is 30.0 and it has a slope rating of 113.  Dunkard Valley golf course opened in 1947.
