WELCOME TO
MOUNTAINEER
COUNTRY!

Our home is an extraordinary land of natural beauty; high country and mirrored lakes are gifts that we call “Almost Heaven.” Here, you can take a thrill ride on the roller coaster whitewater rapids of Cheat River, hike to Coopers Rock for the 1,200 ft. scenic overlook, or explore the Civil War battlefields that divided a state to create West Virginia. The journey through Mountaineer Country is a discovery of hidden gems and once-in-a-lifetime experiences . . . and you’re bound to run into friendly people, eager to share their stories and learn about yours. We look forward to sharing our Mountaineer Spirit with you!

When 60,000 fans pack Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium, the double-deck structure rocks, from the time the nationally famous Mountaineer marching band “The Pride of West Virginia” starts its pregame performance until the team takes the field to sing “Country Roads” after each home victory.
