| 2009 Cabela's King Kat Fishing TOurnament
The Cabela''s King Kat fishing tournament took place on June 13 on the Monongahela River. Nearly 100 spectators were on hand to watch the exciting finish at the Morgantown event. This was the first organized catfish tournament ever held on the Monongahela River at Morgantown so there was a lot of speculation on what kind of weights these anglers would bring to the scales. Even the West Virginia DNR was on hand to evaluate the fish and were very pleased with the quality of fish anglers brought to the scales.
Anglers came from 5 different states  and were competing not only for cash and prizes, but the opportunity to qualify for the 2009 Cabela''s King Kat Classic to be held on the Pickwick/Wilson Lakes at Sheffield, Alabama.
