Mountaineer Nation welcomed family, friends, neighbors and visitors alike to the Biggest Weekend Ever held September 22-24. Individuals near and far came out to experience the pride, sounds, energy and tastes that Greater Morgantown has to offer.
The weekend kicked off with West Virginia University’s Fall Family Weekend, the Arts Walk and the WVU Jazz Band and World Music Ensemble on Friday.
On Saturday, individuals arrived early at the Morgantown Marathon starting line, at the WVU Coliseum, and ran a challenging course through town.
Later that night, the WV Wine and Jazz Festival began their two-day event with local wine tasting and jazz music, as well as food vendors.
The fun didn’t stop there! On Sunday, beer-lovers journeyed to the Morgantown Event Center at the Marriott Waterfront Place for Hops on Mon, which included a Great Grilled Cheese Challenge.
The jam-packed weekend offered events and activities everyone could enjoy. Individuals were able to spend time with family, reconnect with old friends, purchase a piece of art from a local artisan, relax while listening to the sweet sounds of jazz, sip on their favorite wine, try out a new beer, and eat some tasty food along the way!
